There are approximately 42 miles of town owned/maintained roads in the Town of Washington. They are maintained by the Washington Highway Department. Route 31, also known as North & South Main Sts. is a State Highway maintained by the NH Department of Transportation. There are several private roads that are owned and maintained by private contractors hired by the various neighborhood associations.
