  Minutes

 

May 1, 2007

 

1.0 Assembly

1.1 Members Present: Jack Sheehy, Lynn Cook, Tom Marshall, Nan Schwartz, and Ken Eastman

               1.2 Alternates Present: Dennis Kelly, Fran Greene and Frank Musmanno

               1.3 Members & Alternates Absent: Bill Cole

1.4 Visitors:

 

               Minutes from the Planning Board's April 3rd meeting were not available. Board to review at next meeting.  Schwartz moved to approve the minutes of the April 24th Planning Board Meeting with the corrections to visitors Jim Crandall and Tim Callendar. Marshall seconded the motion. All voted in favor. The Board reviewed the minutes from the April 26th Working Session in which the Board met to draft a letter to the Brighton's regarding their subdivision applications. Marshall reported he had spoken with Ed Thayer who advised he had returned the road back to pre-storm condition. Eastman moved to approve the minutes as written. Schwartz seconded the motion. All voted in favor.

               3.1 None

 

4.0 Old Business

 

               4.1 Watershed Protection Ordinance. The Board scheduled a working meeting to devote more time to the subject. Meeting has been scheduled to be held on May 22nd at 6pm.

 

5.0 New Business

 

               5.1 Bill Royce – Subdivision on Horner's Property. The Board reviewed Mr. Royce's site plans. The proposed subdivision would subdivide 5.08 acres off the whole lot TM#11-038.  The Board discussed a culvert that drains on the land and asked that Royce adds this wet area to the survey map.

 

               5.2 Dennis Demers – Subdivision on Bailey Road, TM#20-009/20-010. Advised the Board that he wants to get building permits on existing lots. Advised Demers to contact Selectmen for permit applications.

 

               5.3 Sue Fitzgerald- Business Permit Application. Fitzgerald proposes to operate a Art Studio at 163 Main Street. Fitzgerald presented her application and advised the Board she would be providing art lessons a gift shop and that non-toxic glazes would be used. Fitzgerald to return to the June 5th meeting for a hearing.

 

               5.4 Marc Dube- Business Permit Application. Dube proposes to operate a Canine Boarding Facility at 192 Washington Heights Road. Dube presented his application to the Board. The Board advised Dube that the public notice in the paper stated that the Meeting was to be held on May 2nd and that he would need to return to the June 5th meeting for proper notification to be made.

 

6.0 Communications

               6.1 NH Local Government Center – Local Officials Workshop flyer. – Filed

               6.2 NHDES – Letter regarding the Ashuelot River Local Advisory Committee. DES is looking for nominations of people to serve on the committee for 3 years.

               6.3 Jeffrey H. Taylor & Assoc., Inc – Brochure for planning consulting firm.- Filed

               6.4 US Fish & Wildlife Service – Planning newsletter and issues workbook. – Filed

               6.5 A copy of Town & City magazine. – Filed

               6.6 DES approval for Brighton minor subdivision.

               6.7 Hard Roads Traveled seminar in the Fall.

 

7.0        Next Planning Board meeting, June 5, 2007 Time 7:00 PM in the Town Hall.

 

8.0 Adjournment – Cook moved to adjourn. Marshall seconded the motion 8:37pm Time
