The following is the official report of police department activities for the last 3 months, as reported to, and published in, the local newspapers.

02/01/08    2235      Ofc Brown responded to a citizen’s request for assistance. Three vehicles were stuck on Faxon Hill Road. He assisted all three vehicles to the PD parking lot and drove the operators home.

02/01/08    2247    Ofc Brown assisted a Jackson Drive resident who was stuck. He drove the resident home.

02/01/08    1424    Chief Marshall received a complaint of harassing correspondence from a East Washington Road resident. He contacted the sender and advised that he not contact the resident again.

02/02/08    1738    Chief Marshall issued a warning to a Lempster resident for defective equipment on South Main Street.

02/02/08    1642    Chief Marshall issued a citation to a Heidi Lorenzose, of Goshen, NH for speeding on South Main Street.

02/03/08    0931    Chief Marshall and Ofc. Smith assisted as members of the water rescue team for the Special Olympics Penguin Plunge.

02/04/08    1650    Chief Marshall received a manner of operation complaint on East Washington Road. A vehicle had come off of Lovell Mtn. Road without stopping for a bus. A partial registration was given to the police.

02/04/08    0915    Chief Marshall issued a warning to a Washington resident for driving with an obstructed view on North Main Street.

02/06/08    1350    Ofc Puchtler received a complaint of a traffic accident on North Main Street. Sean O’Connor of 85 Halfmoon Pond Road reported that a vehicle traveling on North Main Street either by hitting it or a sheet of ice had damaged his driver side mirror. O’Connor requested a police report, which he was provided.

02/07/08    1729    Chief Marshall received a report of a stray animal on Valley Road. He left a message for the dog’s owner to contact him.

02/08/08    1826    Ofc Brown received a call from the Hillsboro dispatch advising that a license plate had been found. He attempted to return the plate to the Washington resident who was not at home.

02/0908    1639    Ofc Moser responded to an accident on Old Marlow Road. Levi Grass, age 17 of Deering NH was driving a 1997 Toyota 4 Runner. Grass stepped on his brakes to slow down due to the narrow road and skidded into a snowbank causing his vehicle to spin around and swiping Harry Adams, age 60 of Washington, NH who was driving a 2001 Toyota Tacoma. There were no injuries reported and minor damage to each vehicle.

02/10/08    2045    Chief Marshall received a call reporting a traffic accident on Millen Pond Road. Adam Devlin, age 18 of Washington was driving a 1990 Jeep Wrangler, reported a minor collision due to the narrowness of the road. William Elliot, age 56 of Hillsboro, NH who was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup.

02/10/08    1938    Chief Marshall received a domestic dispute complaint for a North Main Street residence.

02/10/08    1303    Chief Marshall received a report of fraud from a Lake Ashuelot Estates (LAE) residence. The resident reported that when checking a credit report his name and social security number was used to get a mortgage in California.

02/10/08    1319    Chief Marshall received a manner of operation complaint. A truck was stuck blocking the plowing of Bailey Road. The vehicles owner was advised to leave the vehicle at the bottom of the road until it had been treated. The vehicle was removed and the owner was advised that in the future to leave the vehicle at the bottom of the road to allow the road to be treated.

02/10/08    1223    Chief Marshall received a complaint of vehicles off the road on Valley Road. He checked and found no vehicles off the road but it was a bit slick. He notified the Public Works Department.

02/10/08    1218    Chief Marshall received a parking violation complaint in a Municipal parking lot. The vehicles owner was requested to move the vehicle for storm clean up.

02/10/08    1210    Chief Marshall received a domestic dispute complaint for a North Main Street  residence.

02/10/08    1057    Chief Marshall assisted the Rescue Squad at a Halfmoon Pond Road residence.

02/11/08    1400    Chief Marshall received a complaint of criminal threatening from a North Main Street residence.

02/12/08    2235      Ofc Smith received a call from the Washington Public Works Department regarding an abandon vehicle behind the Town Hall. He attempted to contact the owner the vehicle was towed from the site.

02/13/08    1201    Chief Marshall assisted the Newport Police with a suicidal subject as part of the Region Swat Team. The subject was taken into custody without incident.

02/13/08    0749    Ofc Putchler responded to a tractor-trailer stuck on a hill near Bailey Road. The Public Works Department sanded the area and the trailer was able to clear the hill.

02/14/08    1731    Chief Marshall assisted a Lake Ashuelot Estate( LAE) resident whose vehicle was stuck on ice in his driveway.

02/14/08    1817    Chief Marshall arrested Christina St John, age 34 of Washington on a warrant  for failure to answer a summons..

02/14/08    1618    Chief Marshall received a request from the Henniker Family Court to serve papers to a Valley Road residence.

02/14/08    1800    Chief Marshall received a complaint of a bad check from the Tax Collector.

02/14/08    1447    Chief Marshall advised a Dole Schoolhouse Road resident that they must post their 911 number at the road to comply with the Town Ordinance.

02/44/08    1300    Chief Marshall assisted the Hillsboro Police Department with a traffic accident at Route 9 and West Main Street.

02/16/08    0837    911 received a call for help but the connection was lost. When dispatch and the caller reconnected the caller advised that they no longer needed services.

02/17/08    1615    Chief Marshall received a report of a traffic accident on Halfmoon Pond Road

02/16/08    1432    Chief Marshall issued a Fish and Game warning to a Westfield, MA resident for failure to register a snowmobile.

02/18/08    1710    Chief Marshall issued a citation to a Alston Barrett of Acworth, NH for speeding on South Main Street.

02/18/08    1740    Chief Marshall issued a warning to a Dexter, ME resident for speeding on South Main Street.

02/18/08    1721    Chief Marshall issued a warning to a Weare, NH resident for failure to display license plates and possession of license. 

02/19/08    1020    Ofc. Smith assisted the Washington Rescue Squad with a call on Halfmoon Pond Road.

02/20/08    1306    Ofc. Puchtler responded to an animal nuisance complaint from a Jefferson Drive resident.  He requested a written formal complaint that he received.

02/21/08    1001    Chief Marshall responded to a juvenile complaint at the Washington Elementary School.

02/22/08    1200    Ofc. Corrigan received a complaint of a stolen ATV from a Long Pond Road resident.

02/24/08    1548    Chief Marshall received a request to assist in contacting a Washington resident. HE provided the necessary information.

02/24/08    1405    Chief Marshall issued a Fish & Game summons to Jon Larson, 45 of Frederick, MD for operating an unregistered OHRV and warning for operating without a license on the King Street Trail.

02/24/08    1015    Chief Marshall issued a Fish & Game warning to a Pomfret Ctr, CT resident for operating an unregistered OHRV on Jefferson Drive.

The Washington Police Department performed 10 vacant house checks between February 12^th thru February 24^th.

02/25/08    1112    Chief Marshall received a welfare check on a Valley Road resident. The resident reported that she was fine.

02/26/08    0954    Chief Marshall assisted Social Services with a DCYF complaint.

02/26/08    1859    Chief Marshall responded to an accident on North Main Street. Kennedy Pon, 23 of Washington NH was driving a 1991 Honda Accord when he lost he lost traction swerving and hitting Mehgan Wilkie, 24, of Sunapee, NH. She was driving a 2005 Volvo xc90. Both vehicles had driver side damage with no reports of injury.

02/26/08    1104    Ofc. Smith received a parking violation complaint that a bob house was parked in front of a fire hydrant on East Washington Road. He contacted the owner who removed the bob house.

02/28/08    1820    Chief Marshall received a juvenile complaint from a Valley Road resident.

02/28/08    1812    Chief Marshall received a manner of operation complaint from a Valley Road resident. The resident was traveling on Lempster Mtn. Road when a vehicle passed him on the left. He provided the Chief with the registration number. Chief Marshall contacted the operator a summons will be issued.

02/29/08    2059    Chief Marshall responded to an animal nuisance complaint at a Lake Ashuelot Estates (LAE) residence. While there he found that another dog was unlicensed and advised the owner that the dog must be licensed by March 15, 2008.

02/29/08    1909    Chief Marshall found that a Valley Road resident had not licensed their three dogs, while conducting an investigation. He advised that they must do so by March 15, 2008.

02/29/08    1909    Chief Marshall advised a Valley Road resident to contact the Hillsboro Police Department regarding an investigation.

02/29/08    1711    Chief Marshall received a house alarm call for a Washington Drive property. He checked the property and was unable to access the home do to the deep snow. He found no tracks.

02/29/08    1659    Chief Marshall received a complaint of identity theft from a LAE resident.

02/29/08    1745    Chief Marshall issued a citation to Irina Barkan of Washington, NH for failure to stop at a stop sign on Lempster Mtn. Road.

02/29/08    1737    Chief Marshall issued a warning to a Lempster resident for speeding on South Main Street.

03/01/08    2124    Chief Marshall issued a warning to a Hillsboro, NH resident for speeding on South Main Street.

03/01/08    1106    Ofc. Moser received a call of a tractor-trailer stuck between Ames Road and Twin Bridge Road. The tractor-trailer was towed from the scene.

03/01/08    0906    Ofc. Moser received a call of a tractor-trailer stuck on South Main Street. The Public Works Department sanded the hill. 

03/04/08    1301    Ofc. Smith received a report of a burglary on Faxon Hill Road. A Public Works employee reported he had seen suspicious footprints around 1183 Faxon Hill Road.

03/05/08    1349    Ofc. Smith discovered multiple burglaries of seasonal homes on Faxon Hill Road while doing property checks.

03/05/08    1635    Chief Marshall received a manner of operation complaint of a vehicle traveling on South Main Street. He spoke with the operator and advised of the law, the operator apologized.

03/05/08    1549    Chief Marshall served a Domestic Violence Order issued from the Henniker District Court to a Washington resident.

03/06/08    1700    Chief Marshall issued a warning to a Monroe, CT resident for speeding on South Main Street.

03/06/08    1126    Chief Marshall responded to a mental health issue at a Lake Ashuelot Estates (LAE) property.

03/06/08    1135    Chief Marshall assisted the Newport Police Department as part of the region SWAT Unit  with an arrest and search warrant service.

03/06/08    1608    Chief Marshall served a Domestic Violence Order issued from the Goffstown District Court to a Washington resident.

03/07/08    1311    Chief Marshall received a call from a Lempster Mtn Road resident who requested documentation of a conversation with her neighbor regarding snow removal.

03/07/08    0727    Chief Marshall received a burglary complaint from the Public Works Department. The lock had been cut; and copper pipe and wiring had been taken from the recycling facility.
 

03/13/08    1615    Chief Marshall performed a VIN check for a Valley Road resident. 

03/14/08    1434    Chief Marshall performed a VIN check for a Hillsboro, NH resident.

03/15/08    1512    Ofc Moser received a report of a burglary on Bailey Road. Copper pipes and wire had been removed from the home.

03/15/08    1301    Ofc Moser received a report of a theft on East Shore Drive. The resident reported that his snow machines and trailer had been taken during the past week.

03/16/08    1328    Chief Marshall responded to a harassing communications complaint from a East Washington Road resident.  The dispute involves property. Chief Marshall to provide a civil standby for the return of the property.

03/20/08    1112    Chief Marshall arrested Garret Roy age 18 of Deering, NH. The charge is sexual assault.

03/20/08    1558    Chief Marshall responded to a criminal trespassing complaint from a South Main Street resident.

03/21/08    0830    Chief Marshall received a request to document a phone call that a North Main Street resident received. The information has been documented.

03/22/08    2206    Chief Marshall issued a citation to a Levi Fauteux age 20 of Hudson, NH for speeding on South Main Street.

The Washington Police performed 8 vacant house checks the week of March 17, 2008.

03/24/08    1254    Chief Marshall received a report of suspicious persons on Lempster Mtn. Road. He checked the area and found no one advised Lempster. 

03/25/08    1617    Ofc. Smith received a report of a suspicious person in a driveway of an unoccupied house on Faxon Hill Road. The person advised the officer that he was in the process of purchasing the home.

03/25/08    1249    Ofc Smith received a report of a possible violation of a stalking order.

03/25/08    1758    Chief Marshall was requested to perform a civil standby at a Lake Ashuelot Estates (LAE) property.

03/26/08    0830    Ofc Puchlter received an animal bite complaint for a Lempster Mtn. Road property.  No medical attention was needed.

03/26/08    1600    Chief Marshall received a complaint of illegal littering from a Smith Pond Road resident.

03/27/08    1700    Chief Marshall received a request for a motor vehicle unlock. He gained access with no damage.

03/27/08    1634    Chief Marshall issued a warning to a Hermon, ME resident for speeding on South Main Street. 

03/29/08    1939    Chief Marshall provided assistance to the Hillsboro Police Department.

The Washington Police performed 2 vacant house checks the week of March 24, 2008.

04/01/08    1546    Chief Marshall responded to a house alarm. He found the building was secure. 

04/01/08    1415    Ofc. Smith received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the Bailey Road area. Ofc. Smith took the vehicle information.

04/03/08    1657    Chief Marshall received a house check request for a Lake Ashuelot Estates (LAE) property.

04/0308    1559    Chief Marshall found that a registered sex offender was in violation of reporting his current place of residence; a summons will be issued.

04/03/08    1431    Chief Marshall responded to a citizen’s request for assistance on Valley Road.

04/03/08    1327    Chief Marshall responded to an open door call for a Valley Road property. He found that the front door was secure but that the back door was open. The home was not occupied but all looked in order. He secured the home.

04/03/08    2013    Chief Marshall issued a warning to a Louisville, KY resident for speeding on North Main Street.

04/03/08    1331    Chief Marshall issued a Derry, NH resident a warning for an uninspected vehicle.

04/04/08    1625    Chief Marshall received a report of suspicious persons from a Long Pond Road residence.

04/04/08    1005    Chief Marshall received a pistol permit application.

04/05/08    2120    Chief Marshall discovered no 911# posting when responding to an abandoned 911 call from Lempster Mountain Road. He instructed the property owner to post the appropriate number at the road.

04/05/08    2112    Chief Marshall responded to a 911# hang-up on Lempster Mountain Road. He went to the property to find that a juvenile had been playing with the phone.

04/05/08    1727    Chief Marshall issued a warning to a Hudson, NH resident for speeding on South Main Street.

04/05/08    1714    Chief Marshall issued a warning to a Unity, NH resident for speeding on South Main Street.

04/06/08    1512    Chief Marshall received a stalking complaint from a LAE residence.

04/07/08    1021    Chief Marshall received a request for a civil issue standby.

04/11/08    0958    Chief Marshall received a weapons permit application. 

04/11/08    2000    Chief Marshall received a report of a domestic dispute from a Lake Ashuelot Estates (LAE) residence.

04/12/08    1509    Chief Marshall received a fraud complaint from a Bradford Springs Road resident. The resident will provide him with a scanned copy of the fraudulent check.

04/12/08    1534    Chief Marshall received a complaint of a stray dog. The dog had no collar or tag and was taken to the Washington Animal Control Officers home. She was able to locate and warn the owner.

04/12/08    0927    Ofc. Moser received a VIN verification request.  He provided the verification.

04/12/08    1602    Ofc. Corrigan received a citizen’s request to dispose of a shotgun and five metal throwing stars.  The weapons were disposed of as requested.

04/14/08    1408    Ofc. Brown arrested, Elberton Johnson age 47 of Washington, NH for failure to comply with sex offender registration process.

04/16/08    0858    Ofc. Corrigan received a report of a bad check from a North Main Street business owner.

04/17/08    1830    Chief Marshall received a vacant house check request.

04/17/08    1823    Chief Marshall received a call from the Hillsboro Police Department reporting a rape that had occurred in Washington last year.

04/17/08    1548    Chief Marshall received a mental health issue call from a LAE residence.

04/17/08    1741    Chief Marshall received a complaint of fraud from a Halfmoon Pond Road resident.

04/17/09    1629    Chief Marshall documented a semi-annual sex offender registration.

04/17/08    0907    Chief Marshall received a pistol permit application.

04/17/08    1536    Chief Marshall issued a warning to a Washington resident for failure to change speeding on South Main Street and failure to change his address on his license.

04/17/08    1526    Chief Marshall issued a warning to a Bradford, MA resident for speeding on South Main Street.

04/18/08    2102    Chief Marshall found two doors open at the Washington Elementary School. He checked the school and everything seemed in its place and then secured the doors

04/18/08    1512    Chief Marshall served a subpoena for the Manchester Police Department.

04/19/08    1419    Ofc Moser issued a burn permit to a Bailey Road resident.

04/19/08    1306    Ofc. Moser issued a burn permit to a Harding Drive resident.

04/19/08    1304    Ofc. Moser issued a burn permit to a Valley Road resident.

04/19/08    1443    Chief Marshall received a report of theft from a Coolidge Road resident.

04/20/08    1429    Chief Marshall received a report of an assault from a Valley Road resident.  The resident wanted the assault documented.

04/20/08    1805    Chief Marshall issued a citation to a Mark Nickerson of Springfield, VT for speeding on South Main Street.

04/20/08    1800    Chief Marshall issued a warning to a Arlington, MA resident for speeding on South Main Street.

04/20/08    1723    Chief Marshall issued a citation to a Parag Jain of Bay Shore, NY for speeding on South Main Street.

04/20/08    1721    Chief Marshall issued a warning to a Weare, NH resident for speeding on North Main Street.

04/21/08    1417    Chief Marshall assisted the Washington Rescue Squad with a call on Valley Road.

04/22/08    1505    Ofc. Smith received a report of a suspicious vehicle on Smith Pond Road. He checked the area and did not spot the vehicle. 

04/23/08    1424    Ofc. Moser received a report of a missing juvenile from a Valley Road residence. When he arrived at the scene the subject had already returned home.

04/23/08    1250    Ofc. Puchtler issued a warning to a Washington resident for speeding on East Washington Road.

04/23/08    1141    Ofc. Puchtler received a request to unlock a motor vehicle from a South Main Street resident. He opened the vehicle without incident.

04/24/08    1815    Chief Marshall received a request to perform a VIN verification from a Valley Road resident.

04/24/08    1531    Chief Marshall received a report of a suspicious person from a East Washington Road resident.

04/25/08    1948    Chief Marshall received a report of a suspicious vehicle from a Stoddard Point Way resident.  A neighbor had advised the property owner of the vehicle but did not get a registration number. Chief Marshall asked that if the vehicle returns to phone the Police Department.

04/25/08    1854    Chief Marshall issued a seasonal burn permit to a Marlow Road resident.

04/25/08    1655    Chief Marshall found a picnic table floating at Camp Morgan Beach. Chief Moser offered the Fire Department’s assistance to retrieve the table.

04/25/08    1622    Chief Marshall received a found identification card from an Adams Drive resident. He will return the property to the owner.

04/25/08    2308    Chief Marshall  issued a warning to a Washington resident for speeding on South Main Street.

04/25/08    2256    Chief Marshall  issued a warning to a Washington resident for speeding on South Main Street.

04/25/08    1713    Chief Marshall  issued a warning to an Antrim, NH resident for speeding on South.

04/26/08    1244    Ofc. Moser issued a burn permit to a Valley Road resident.

04/26/08    1239    Ofc. Moser received a report of stolen property from a Valley Road resident.

04/26/08    2031    Chief Marshall issued a warning to a Deering, NH resident for speeding on South and advised the driver that she must get a New Hampshire license.

04/26/08    2007    Chief Marshall issued a warning to a Hillsboro, NH resident for speeding on South Main Street.

04/27/08    1423    Chief Marshall issued a citation to Andy LaCasse of Lempster, NH for speeding on South Main Street.

04/27/08    1247    Chief Marshall issued a citation to Luke Levesque, Jr. of Hillsboro, NH for an uninspected vehicle on South Main Street.            

04/27/08    1603    Chief Marshall conducted a semi-annual sex offender registration form.

04/27/09    1402    Chief Marshall found a license plate outside the Police Department. He will return to the property owner.

05/01/08    0907    Chief Marshall received a weapons permit application.
