The following is the official report of police department activities for the last 3 months, as reported to, and published in, the local newspapers.

 

09/02/2011 Chief Marshall received a manner of operation complaint regarding local residents speeding by the bus stop in the morning. He will radar the area accordingly.

09/02/2011 Chief Marshall performed a HIN verification for a Valley Road resident.

09/03/2011 Ofc Corrigan received a report of an abandoned vehicle on Balsam Circle. He attempted to make contact with the vehicle’s owner.

09/05/2011 Chief Marshall received a message that a mean looking dog was loose on Ashuelot Drive. The dog was not in the area when the message was received. 

09/06/2011 Chief Marshall received a report of a possible road hazard on North Main Street. When he arrived there was nothing to be found.

09/08/2011 Chief Marshall received a civil issue standby request for a Snow Road property.

09/08/2011 Chief Marshall received a 911 hang up call from Valley Road. He went to the home and everything was fine.

09/08/2011 Chief Marshall responded to an alarm call from a Highland Haven Road property. The property was found to be secure.

09/09/2011 Ofc Corrigan assisted the nurse at the Washington Elementary School with the AED machine.

09/09/2011 Chief Marshall asked a Highland Haven Road resident to post his 911#.

09/09/2011 Chief Marshall responded to an alarm from a Highland Haven Road property. The contractor accidentally activated the alarm.

07/07/2011 through 09/09/2011 The Washington Police Department issued 173 motor vehicle warnings and 21 citations. 30 burn permits were issued. The Washington Police Department received/performed 3 vacant home checks. The Washington Police Department responded o 20 unlicensed/dog complaints from the Town Clerk. The Washington Police Department responded to 5 road hazard calls. The Washington Police Department assisted other local police departments with 12 calls, 7 rescue calls and 6 fire calls. 

09/11/2011 Ofc Corrigan received a complaint regarding a stray dog. The dog’s owner was contacted and the dog was returned to the kennel it was being kept at.

09/11/2011 Ofc Corrigan responded to a house alarm at a Highland Haven Road property. The property was found to be secure.

09/11/2011 Ofc Corrigan responded to a house alarm on Harrison Drive. The property was found to be secure.

09/12/2011 Ofc Corrigan responded to a smell of propane at the Washington Elementary School. He assisted with traffic and safety control.

09/12/2011 Ofc Corrigan entered a new house alarm information for a Highland Haven Road property.

09/14/2011 Ofc Corrigan received a report of a dog that had been hit by a vehicle on North Main Street. The dog was not hit by a vehicle but was sick.

09/15/2011 Chief Marshall was requested to perform a VIN verification for a Valley Road resident.

09/15/2011 Chief Marshall assisted the 911 mapping employees with providing water access to some Town properties.

09/16/2011 Chief Marshall received a complaint of a harassing communication from a Washington Drive resident.

09/16/2011 Chief Marshall received a report of a bad check from the Washington Tax Collector. He phoned the property owner and left a message to have her contact him.

09/16/2011 Chief Marshall received a set of car keys that were found in the Town Hall parking lot.

09/17/2011 Ofc Corrigan responded to an open door alarm at the Washington Elementary School. He found the building locked and secure.

09/17/2011 Ofc Corrigan received a welfare check request for a Sweeney Road resident. He went to the property the resident was fine, just having phone line troubles.

09/17/2011 Ofc Corrigan responded to a juvenile complaint from a Washington Drive property.

09/17/2011 Ofc Corrigan responded to a house alarm from a Bradford Springs Road property. The property was found to be secure.

09/17/2011 Ofc Corrigan assisted the transfer station attendant with a jump-start for the backhoe.

09/17/2011 Ofc Corrigan responded to a house alarm from a Bradford Springs Road property. The relative of the homeowner accidentally set the alarm off.

09/18/2011 Ofc Corrigan attended the LAE neighborhood watch meeting.

09/18/2011 Ofc Corrigan was called to a Dole Schoolhouse property for a untimely death.

09/18/2011 Ofc Corrigan responded to a report of a possible break in from a Millen Pond road property owner regarding a Millen Pond Road property. The screen door was found to be broken but the interior door was secure.

09/19/2011 Ofc Corrigan assisted the Weare Police Department with information regarding a Washington resident in reference to a motor vehicle accident that had occurred earlier in the day.

09/21/2011 Administrative Assistant Dagesse issued three pistol permits.

09/22/2011 Chief Marshall received a report of a propane alarm from a Millen Pond Road property. The alarm was cancelled it was just the plumber.

09/22/2011 Chief Marshall responded to a report of suspicious activity from a Halfmoon Pond Road property.

09/23/2011 Chief Marshall assisted the State Police with a BOL for a juvenile. He put the information out on the community Nixle program.

09/24/2011 Ofc Corrigan received a report of an intoxicated individual walking on South Main Street. He came upon the subject and found that he was intoxicated and the prevent any injury gave him a ride home.

09/24/2011 Chief Marshall received a report of fraud from a Bradford Springs Road resident. A report was taken.

09/24/2011 Chief Marshall received a report of dog that had gotten loose and the owner was looking for it. Later the dog was spotted and  returned home.

09/27/2011 Chief Marshall received a report of suspicious activity for a Washington Drive property. The resident is away but the lights were on and there were phone calls made from the home. The realtor accidentally left the lights on and Granite State Communications report line trouble in the area. The home was found to be secure.

09/27/2011 Chief Marshall received a report of loud humming noise from an Ashuelot Drive resident. The resident is hearing logging operations going on in Town.

09/28/2011 Chief Marshall received a report of an attempted break in from a Valley Road resident. He met with the resident and a report was taken.

09/28/2011 Ofc Corrigan received a report of a crazy woman driver coming into Washington. He went by several women operators but all were driving appropriately.

09/28/2011Ofc Corrigan went to a Sugarhouse Road property for an unattended campfire. He spoke with the property owner who did not know he needed a permit.

09/30/2011 Ofc Corrigan responded to a trouble alarm at the elementary school. The building was found to be secure.

09/30/2011 Ofc Corrigan received a request from the NHDMV to assist with contacting an East Washington resident in regards to a motor vehicle registration. He went to the property and left a card.

09/30/2011 Ofc Corrigan was requested to perform a VIN verification for a Marlow Road property owner.

09/10/2011 through 09/30/2011 The Washington Police Department issued 52 motor vehicle warnings and 3 citations. 3 burn permits were issued. The Washington Police Department received/performed 8 vacant home checks.

10/04/2011 Chief Marshall received a manner of operation complaint from one of the school bus drivers. A vehicle passed the bus while the lights were flashing. Chief Marshall is waiting for a follow up report from the bus driver.

10/06/2011 Chief Marshall issued a warrant for someone that was charged back in June for operating after suspension that did not show for a court appearance.

10/07/2011 Ofc Corrigan responded to a report of a burglary from a South Main Street property. The owner had been away for about a month and the front door was damaged. It appears that no entrance was gained. A report and photos were taken.

10/08/2011 Chief Marshall received a complaint of a juvenile operating a 4-wheeler erratically on LAE roads. He contacted the mother, she said she would have him come home.

10/09/2011Ofc Corrigan was notified of an unreportable traffic accident on Millen Pond Road.

10/09/2011 Ofc Corrigan received a noise complaint from a Valley Road property owner. He complained of a neighbor’s dog barking. Ofc Corrigan went to the Valley Road property and spoke with the animal’s owner.

 10/10/2011 Ofc Corrigan found a hazardous sinkhole on North Main Street. He identified the area with orange cones and called NHDOT.

10/10/2011 Administrative Asst. Dagesse processed two pistol permit applications.

10/11/2011Chief Marshall received a report of a burglary on Chestnut Road. The homeowners had already repaired the damage. Chief Marshall took a report.

10/11/2011 Chief Marshall received a civil issue standby request from an East Washington Road resident.

10/12/2011 Ofc Puchtler assisted the Washington Rescue Squad with a call from a Millen Pond Road property.

10/13/2011 Chief Marshall had a request from an East Washington resident to check on the welfare of a landlord serving an eviction notice. The property was found to be calm and in order.

10/14/2011 Chief Marshall received a request from the Henniker Police Department to contact a Bailey Road resident. He did not come in contact with the resident but left a card to call.

10/14/2011 Chief Marshall received a report of suspicious activity from a Beaver Brook Road property owner. A report was taken.

10/15/2011Chief Marshall received a report of an open door from a LAE resident in regards to a neighbors home. Chief Marshall found that a family member was staying at the home.

10/15/2011 Ofc Moser received a report of a theft from a Barden Pond Road property owner. A report was taken.

10/18/2011 Chief Marshall assisted a motorist having difficulty making it up South Main Street.

10/19/2011 Ofc Puchtler spoke with the Hillsboro truancy officer. The officer was visiting a Faxon Hill Road residence to check on a student.

10/19/2011 Ofc Puchtler met with Suzanne Lull to coordinate the DARE program for the Washington Elementary School Students.

10/19/2011 Ofc Puchtler received a BOL in reference to a Tacoma truck. He did not spot the vehicle.

10/20/2011 Ofc Corrigan assisted a Goshen resident in finding a North Main Street property. The Washington resident had found her dog. The dog was returned to its owner.

10/20/2011 Ofc Corrigan assisted a NHDES representative in regards to a Windsor property.

10/20/2011 Chief Marshall received a call from a bank that had foreclosed on a Cove Road property. The property had the smoke detectors, wood stove and refrigerator taken.

10/20/2011 Chief Marshall received police information in reference to an East Washington Road property.

10/21/2011 Chief Marshall issued a burn permit to a North Main Street resident.

10/21/2011 Administrative Asst. Dagesse processed a pistol permit application.

10/22/2011 Chief Marshall assisted the Washington Rescue Squad with a call from a Long Pond Road residence.

10/22/2011 Chief Marshall responded to a noise complaint regarding a Valley Road property. He went to the property and heard loud music. He spoke with the residents and asked them to turn down the music. They did.

10/22/2011 Chief Marshall received an anonymous report of Medicaid fraud. A report was taken and forwarded.

10/22/2011 Chief Marshall was approached by an East Washington Road resident in regards to a motorist traveling East Washington Road in the morning in an unsafe manner. He spoke with the operator’s father. He will pass the message on and remind the operator to slow down.

10/22/2011 Chief Marshall issued a burn permit.

10/22/2011 Chief Marshall received a of a suspicious person from a Grant Road property owner.

10/24/2011 Ofc Corrigan responded to a report of animal cruelty for a Cross Road property. The dog appeared to have water and food; he reported the information to the Weare animal shelter.

10/04/2011 through 10/25/2011 The Washington Police Department issued 32 motor vehicle warnings and 6 citations. 0 burn permits were issued. The Washington Police Department received/performed 34 vacant home checks.

10/26/2011 3:40 AM   Officer Corrigan responded to a report of a residential burglary alarm on Huntley Mountain Road.

10/26/2011 1:22 PM Ofc. Puchtler assisted Monadnock Hospital with information on a patient.

10/27/2011, 12:56 PM Chief Marshall was requested to go to an address on Jefferson Dr. to check on the resident.  All was well, the cell phone was being charged.  He will contact the complainant.

10/27/2011 6:57 PM Chief Marshall responded report of a disabled vehicle on N. Main St. near Pillsbury State Park.  He was unable to locate it.

10/27/2011 8:41 PM Chief Marshall observed a vehicle go off the road and hit a tree on N. Main St. near Twin Bridge Road.  Jennifer Marvel age 31 from Newport, operating in 1996 Lexus SUV went off the road in the slush and the snow.  Washington Fire and Rescue responded to the scene, however, she was wearing her seatbelt and not injured.  The vehicle was towed from the scene, there were no charges.

10/28/2011 3:17 PM The Town Clerk reported a resident had not made good on a bad check  she issued for registration.  Chief Marshall contacted the individual and payment was made.

10/28/2011 7:19 PM.  A Valley Road resident reinstituted his vacant house check the winter.

10/28/2011 7:46 PM, A LAE resident reinstituted a vacant house check for the winter.

10/28/2011 8:13 PM.  A LAE resident reinstituted a vacant house check for the winter.

10/28/2011 8:27 PM.  An APA resident initiated a vacant house check the winter.

10/28/2011 8:36 PM.  Ofc. Corrigan responded to a domestic assault on Valley Road.  He conducted an investigation and provided appropriate services to the parties involved.

10/29/2011 10:30 AM.  Information was called in from a recovery company regarding a repossessed vehicle on S. Main St.

10/29/2011 2:41 PM.  Responded to a trouble alarm the elementary school.  Referred to the fire department.

10/29/2011, 3 PM.  Responded to a trouble alarm at the elementary school.  All agreed the alarm was having trouble.

10/29/2011 6:13 PM.  Report of a vehicle off the road on Lempster Mountain Road.  Ofc. Corrigan located the vehicle off the road due to snow conditions, no damage and no injuries.  He called for a wrecker to remove the vehicle. 

10/29/2011 7:46 PM Ofc. Corrigan responded to a vehicle off the road on N. Main St. at the Goshen town line.  There were no injuries and possible damage. A wrecker was called and Ofc. Corrigan drove the operator home.

10/29/2011 8:19 PM Ofc. Corrigan responded to a vehicle off the road in the transfer station.  Vehicle was gone on arrival.

10/29/2011 10:15 PM, Faxon Hill Road resident reported seeing suspicious footprints in the snow in her backyard.  Ofc. Corrigan investigating.

10/30/2011 8:30 a.m.  Report of a motor vehicle collision on Lempster Mountain Road.  State Police were already on scene investigating.  Ofc. Corrigan assisted with traffic.

10/30/2011 9:06 AM.  Report of a trouble alarm at the elementary school.

10/30/2011, 11:45 AM.  Report of a suspicious vehicle in the driveway on Faxon Hill Road.  Ofc. Corrigan determined they were hunters and all is okay.

10/31/2011, 12:55 AM.  A Washington Drive resident reported hearing water running at his neighbor's house.  He was concerned because the neighbors were away.  Ofc. Corrigan located water running from a fixture, and was able to shut it off.  The caretaker was notified to make repairs.

10/31/2011 1:43 PM.  A Valley Road resident requested a VIN verification on a car he was planning to buy.

10/31/2011 7:18 PM.  Ofc. Corrigan responded along with the Rescue Squad to a residence on Ashuelot Dr. for a medical emergency.

11/01/2011 4:23 PM.  A working mother reported her son did not attend an afterschool program and was concerned he was home alone and riding his four wheeler on the road.  Chief Marshall responded spoke with the young man.

11/02/2011, 12:48 PM.  A Windsor resident stopped at the Police Department with misdelivered packages.  The packages were returned to UPS for proper delivery.

11/02/2011 8:30 PM.  Chief Marshall received a complaint from a Washington Drive resident regarding a person that was in the yard that was not supposed to be there.  The trespasser was spoken to and the complainant was advised as to how to get a stalking order from a Court.

11/03/2021 1:42 PM.  A Valley Road resident requested VIN verification on his new RTV.

11/03/2011 6:06 PM.  Chief Marshall received a complaint of children injured by falling from an ATV in LAE.  One child was transported to Concord Hospital by Washington Rescue, Chief Marshall investigating.

11/04/2011 2:14 PM A Contoocook resident reported theft of keys and jumper cables from a job site on N. Main St.  Chief Marshall investigating and a surveillance system will be installed.

11/04/2011 5:40 PM.  Chief Marshall observed a loose dog on a Lempster Mountain Rd., near the alpaca farm.  A caretaker was located, and secure the dog before he got hurt.

11/05/2011 3:49 PM.  A call was received reporting potential lost hikers on the Sunapee Monadnock Greenway.  Ofc. Corrigan went to where he believed they would be based on the last known location, and located them area.  All is fine, and they were packing to head back home.

11/05/2011 3:35 PM.  A Faxon Hill Road resident reported potential harassment from someone that did work in her house.  Ofc. Corrigan will speak with the parties.

11/05/2011 5:21 PM.  Ofc. Corrigan conducted a VIN verification on Valley Road.

11/05/2011 8:41 PM.  A S. Main St. resident reinstituted a vacant house check for the winter.

11/05/2011 9:26 PM.  A Washington Drive resident reinstituted a vacant house check for the winter.

11/05/2011 10:18 PM.  A vacant house check was initiated for APA resident.

11/06/2021 10:31 AM.  A winter house check was requested for an LAE resident.

11/06/2011 10:39 AM.  Hillsboro Police Department requested officers try to stop and identify a  vehicle and occupants the could be operating in the area.  No contact with the vehicle.

11/06/2011 11:59 AM.  A winter house check was requested for a Valley Road resident.

11/06/2011, 12:16 PM.  A LAE resident requested a winter house check.

11/06/2011 12:45 PM.  A Millen Pond resident reinstituted a winter house check.

11/06/2011, 12:59 PM.  An LAE resident requested a winter house check for the season.

11/06/2021 1:13 PM.  A winter house check was requested on Halfmoon Pond Road residence.

11/08/2011, 12:38 AM.  Chief Marshall respond to a residential alarm in APA.  All was found to be in order.

11/08/2011 7:41 AM.  Chief Marshall responded to a medical emergency on Valley Road.  After an initial assessment, he began treatment and requested a DHART helicopter for transport to Dartmouth Hitchcock.  Care and transport was turned over to Washington Rescue.

11/08/2011 4:40 PM.  A report was taken from a businessman about magnetic sign stolen from his vehicles.  Chief Marshall investigating.

11/10/2011 1:34 PM.  A town official reported a local resident on Halfmoon Pond Road was impolite and rude when she went by the house.  Event documented by Chief Marshall.

11/11/2011 12:58 PM.  Chief Marshall responded with Rescue to a residence on Washington Drive for a sick person.  Resident was transported by Rescue to Concord Hospital.

11/11/2011 1:30 PM.  Passing motorist reported open door on a Millen Pond Road residence.  Chief Marshall investigated, found the door open but all to be in order inside the house.  The door was secured in the owner was notified.

11/11/2011 7:31 PM.  A tree was reported to be down across the road on Millen Pond Road.  Chief Marshall located the small sapling and removed it from the road.

11/11/2011 7:42 PM.  Chief Marshall served court paperwork to a resident on Washington Heights Road.

11/12/2011, 12:26 PM.  Officer Moser discovered a vehicle parked in front of a fire hydrant at Camp Morgan Lodge.  He located the owner and got it moved.

11/12/2021 4:18 PM.  A residential burglary alarm was received for an LAE residence.  Ofc. Corrigan located the caretaker on scene, but she did not have the password for the alarm company.

11/12/2011 3:53 PM.  Ofc. Corrigan took a report of a stolen generator and tools from a resident on Bailey Road.  Investigation ongoing.

11/12/2011 8:46 PM.  Ofc. Corrigan responded to an ongoing barking dog complaint on Valley Road.

11/14/2011 12:40 AM.  Ofc. Corrigan responded to a reported residential burglary alarm in APA.  Ongoing electrical problem with the alarm system.

11/14/2011 1:22 AM.  A Washington Drive resident reportedly believes someone came onto his deck and unplugged his Christmas lights.  Ofc. Corrigan investigated and determined animal may have been on the deck and gotten caught in the cord.

11/14/2011 8:50 AM.  An LAE resident checking the neighbor's house found the back door unlocked.  Ofc. Corrigan checked the house, found nothing to be amiss, and the door was locked and secured.

11/14/2011 11:44 AM.  A worker from a  job site on N. Main St. reported to Ofc. Corrigan that six five gallon buckets of hydraulic oil had been from his job site.

11/15/2011 1:49 PM.  While doing a vacant house check on Washington Drive Ofc. Corrigan discovered he unlocked door.  He checked with the homeowner who advised a daughter had visited over the weekend and must have forgotten to lock the door.

11/15/2011 4:05 PM A vacant house check was requested for a Halfmoon Pond area resident.

11/17/2011 12:13 PM.  Chief Marshall took the three Washington Elementary School Students of the Month to lunch.

11/17/2011 6:34 PM.  Chief Marshall got a request from a Halfmoon Pond Road resident to speak with the neighbor about the dog.

11/17/2011 6:40 PM, A report was taken from a Halfmoon Pond Road resident who believed that gasoline may have been siphoned from his truck the day before.  Information posted for the other officers.

11/19/2011 5:33 PM.  Chief Marshall observed a vehicle pull into a house on the vacant house check list on S. Main St.  The vehicle & occupants were checked, and told they need to be somewhere else.

11/19/2021 7:46 PM.  Chief Marshall assisted a New Hampshire State Trooper at a suspicious activity call in Goshen.

11/20/2011 12:04 PM.  The owner of a business on Valley Road reported a burglary and theft of items from the business.  Chief Marshall investigating.

11/21/2011 2:37 PM.  An LAE resident reported slow children playing sign had been shot up by a small caliber gun.  She's unsure when the damage happened.  Report taken.

11/22/2011 10:14 AM The Fifth Circuit Court in Newport requested a record check for local resident seeking return of his weapons.

11/25/2011 6:26 PM.  Chief Marshall provided safety and visibility, and a slight bit of melody, for the annual Christmas tree lighting and carol singing.

11/26/2011, 12:12 PM.  Tire tracks in the snow were reported to be going into a closed business on Valley Road.  Chief Marshall checked the area and found all to be in order.

11/27/2021 11:20 AM.  An LAE resident requested extra patrols in the area due to suspicious activity.

11/27/2011, 12:07 PM.  A Washington drive resident notified us of an alarm being installed and requested his house be put on the vacant house check list.

11/27/2011 3:30 PM.  Washington drive resident advising they would be away from the house for short time due to a medical condition.  Requested extra watch on the house.

11/28/2011, 12:45 AM.  A lonely house in APA requested a visit from the police for an alarm again.  Ofc. Corrigan responded, all to be secure.

11/28/2011 6:08 AM.  Ofc. Corrigan responded to a medical emergency on Symonds Lane.  He assessed and assisted with packaging and loading for the transport to Concord Hospital by Rescue.

11/28/2011 9:31 AM.  A resident from the Lempster Mountain Road area and requested a winter house check.

11/28/2011 4:38 PM.  Medical emergency was received on S. Main St.  Ofc. Corrigan responded and provided basic assessment and helped load the patient for Rescue to transport to Concord Hospital.

11/30/2011 10:50 AM.  Chief Marshall provided a photo ID for local resident to be able to cash her Social Security check.

12/02/2011 3:54 PM.  United States Army requested a record check on a local resident for enlistment.

12/02/2011 4:35 PM.  Contact information was provided for the new owners of the business on Valley Road.

12/02/2011 4:51 PM An East Washington Road resident reported a suspicious vehicle in the area.  Chief Marshall investigated and found it was a wildlife photographer scouting the area for future shoots

12/05/2011, 9:53 AM.  A vacant house check was requested for an LAE residence.

12/05/2011 10:48 AM Another LAE resident requested a house check for the winter.

12/06/2011, 12:39 PM An identity theft complaint was taken from a Dole Schoolhouse Road resident.  Chief Marshall took a report and referred to the appropriate agency.

12/06/2011 5:27 PM Chief Marshall took information from a Halfmoon Pond Road resident regarding a potential septic problem from his neighbor's property.  Chief Marshall referred him to the Health Officer for further investigation.

12/06/2011 5:31 PM.  The Hillsboro Police Department SRO notified Chief Marshall of a child improperly enrolled in Hillsboro-Deering High School claiming to be a Washington resident.  Chief Marshall to speak with the School Board chairman for resolution.

12/06/2011 5:34 PM Chief Marshall took a report from a Washington Drive resident reporting that he believes his Facebook account was accessed by an ex-girlfriend in violation of a restraining order.  Investigation ongoing.

12/06/2011 10:30 AM An LAE resident called Chief Marshall to report ongoing marital problems.  Services were not requested, just for informational purposes.

12/07/2011 10:22 AM The Connecticut State Police requested a contact message be delivered to a Dole Schoolhouse Road resident.  Delivered by Ofc. Puchtler.

12/08/2011 10:49 AM.  A trouble alarm was received from the Elementary School.

12/08/2011 11:09 AM.  Marshall took a report of credit card fraud from an Island Pond resident.  Chief Marshall took a report and is working with the US Secret Service.

12/08/2011 3:03 PM.  Four pistol license applications were received and processed.

12/09/2011 10:36 AM.  Chief Marshall responded to Valley Road for a 911 open line with an apparent female in distress .  With the assistance of the Hillsboro Police Department, the residence was checked, and all occupants were okay.

12/09/2011 1:22 PM.  Chief Marshall took a report of harassing phone calls from  a Faxon Hill Road resident.  Report was taken and an annoyance phone call notification form provided to give to the phone company.

12/09/2011 1:58 PM.  Burn permit was issued when these Washington Road property owner.

12/09/2011 1:58 PM.  Chief Marshall responded with Rescue to a medical complaint on Lempster Mountain Road.  He assessed and helped load the patient into Rescue for transport to Concord.

12/10/2011 8:41 AM.  A Highland Haven area homeowner reported an alarm being installed in his residence.

12/10/2011 11:32 AM.  Ofc Moser assisted Fish & Game officers with an investigation on Millen Pond Road.

12/10/2011 11:16 PM.  Chief Marshall was requested to check for a possible DWI coming north from Hillsboro.  Hillsboro Police Department was able to locate and arrest him prior to getting into Washington.

12/12/2011 1:07 PM.  A vacant house check request was received from a Washington Drive resident.

12/12/2011 4:32 PM.  Chief Marshall stopped Brian Magistro, age 42, from Bradford for an equipment violation on Bradford Springs Rd.  Magistro was found to be operating without a license for the second time, and charged with a misdemeanor.  He was released at the scene with a summons.

12/14/2011 1:02 PM.  Ofc. Puchtler responded with Rescue to Ashuelot Drive for a medical emergency.  He assisted as needed.

12/14/2011 3:28 PM.  A Washington Drive resident was assisted back into the car she was locked out by Ofc. Puchtler.

12/15/2011 9:42 AM.  An Old Marlow Road resident reported to Chief Marshall that the night before he heard car doors closing in the driveway of an occupied house across the street.

12/15/2011 12:08 PM.  Chief Marshall took the three Washington Elementary School Students of the Month to lunch at Subway for the reward.

12/15/2011 1:52 PM.  An open door was discovered in the basement of Camp Morgan Lodge.  Chief Marshall discovered it not been locked properly, and took care of the problem.

12/15/2011 1:30 PM.  Chief Marshall took two reports of a vehicle passing unsafely on S. Main St.  One of the complainants was able to provide a very good description, and the vehicle and operator were located.  The operator of the passing vehicle was issued a summons for passing on a solid line.

12/16/2011 1:37 PM.  Chief Marshall observed a suspicious vehicle parked at a job site with prior problems on N. Main St.  Checked the vehicle and determined it was supposed to be there.

12/16/2011 6:20 PM.  Chief Marshall assisted a New Hampshire State Trooper with a motor vehicle stop of a wanted person on Route 10 in Goshen.

12/16/2011 8:12 PM.  Local contractor provided the description of a younger person in a vehicle acting suspiciously in the area.  Chief Marshall located the vehicle a few days later identified both.

12/16/2011 8:24 PM.  A Contoocook resident with a job site on N. Main St. reported the theft of batteries from his job site.

12/17/2011 4 PM.  Chief Marshall took a report of the theft of a snow blower from an East Washington Road resident.  Upon investigation, he learned that her children taken the snow blower for service to surprise her.  She is surprised!

12/17/2011 8:15 PM.  While on patrol in APA Chief Marshall discovered a partially open door to one of the homes.  Upon checking he discovered it was in outer door that was damaged by conditions.

12/18/2011 10:12 AM.  Officer Corrigan assisted the fire department at a garage fire Halfmoon Pond Road.

12/18/2011 1:24 PM.  Complaint was received of a red pickup truck operating unsafely on Halfmoon Pond Road.  Ofc. Corrigan located the operator and spoke with him about his driving skills.

12/19/2011, 2:06 PM.  A vacant house check request was received from Washington Drive resident

12/20/2011 11:27 AM.  Chief Marshall investigated a report of a transient meat seller on Wild Acre Drive.  He did not locate the vehicle, but after putting out a community notice the vehicle was reported to be on Lempster Mountain Road.  Vehicles eventually located on a road in Goshen by the Goshen Police.

12/21/2011 11:17 AM.  Chief Marshall responded with Rescue to a residence on Washington Drive for a sick person.

12/21/2011 1:24 PM.  An out-of-state resident reported an unusually high propane bill in his Washington residence in LAE.  He requested the police check for trespassers.  Chief Marshall checked the residence, and found there was no problem.  He referred the homeowner to his propane supplier.

12/23/2011 10:24 AM.  A VIN verification was conducted on Valley Road.

12/23/2011 10:55 AM.  Ofc. Corrigan responded to a reported collision of a Jeep Cherokee against a tree on Bradford Springs Road.  On arrival he found the crash actually occurred in Bradford, and the Bradford police were requested to respond.

12/23/2011 1:41 PM.  A Washington Drive area house check was initiated.

12/23/2011 1:57 PM.  In LAE resident activated a vacant house check for the winter.

12/23/2011 6:25 PM.  Washington DPW requested a report of road conditions for potential treatment.

12/24/2011 11:30 AM.  Chief Marshall took a report of a suspicious vehicle on Ashuelot Acres Road.  He found the vehicle belonged the homeowner.

12/24/2011 7:35 PM.  A motorist reported a Great Dane in the middle of the road on S. Main St. near Valley Rd.  Chief Marshall was unable to locate.

12/24/2011 8:35 PM.  A Martin Road resident reported an injured black lab appeared at his house.  Chief Marshall was able to locate the owner from the dog tag and notified the owner to get the dog for treatment.

12/26/2011 2:42 PM.  A motorist reported to Ofc. Corrigan he almost hit a Bassett hound in the road on Lempster Mountain Road.  Ofc. Corrigan located the dog's owner spoke with them.

12/26/2011 5:23 PM.  A homeowner in the Smith Pond area requested a house check for the winter.

12/28/2011 12:30 PM.  Ofc. Puchtler responded to reported hit and run crash on Bailey Road.  The incident was found to have occurred the night before, the driver was located by the that mail fell out of his truck when it rolled over and was left at the scene.  Report taken.
