A Los Angeles film company is coming to Town in early October to film a motion picture at in the Washington Police Station using the Washington Police patches/badges/logos as the the background, as well as other sites in Washington. Read the Union Leader article. Read the Eagle Times article

Washington Police Chief Steven is announcing the recent graduation of Officer John Corrigan from the NH Police Standards & Training Council's 252nd Part-Time Police Academy. This was the first Academy with the new 200 hour curriculum, doubled from the previous 100 hour program. Recruits were instructed in all aspects of law enforcement by officers from throughout the state.

Corrigan also supplied the class with the class flag or "guidon", the first part-time class to have a guidon and have it displayed at the Academy. Officer Corrigan was a student in a class of approximately 50 students attending at the Academy in Concord, and satellite sites
in Littleton, Keene and Pease Air Base.

He will be on field training with experienced officers prior to starting patrol duties on his own.
