The Meetinghouse Finale! Capital Campaign
Current Meetinghouse Rehabilitation Progress:
The $1.37 million dollar renovation that was funded by a Town warrant in 2017 is almost
complete. This renovation included a full basement with an archive room, new two-story
rear annex with ADA restroom, fire suppression system, new heating system, electrical
and more. The project to restore all the windows and install new storm windows began
in April and is being funded by a Land and Community Heritage Investment Program
matching grant that was awarded to the Town. This rehabilitation work has addressed
structural integrity, energy efficiency and physical plant systems that will ensure the
business of the town will continue long into the future.
And the Future Challenge to Raise $225,000:
However, the resource of the second floor is left untapped and the potential for
rekindling the community cultural center lies dormant. With your help, the following
necessary upgrades can be funded and the public use of this largely unspoiled cultural
venue can resume:
Installation of a light-duty elevator for ADA accessibility: $71,500
Completion of the second floor annex including ADA restrooms: $70,950
Upgrade of electrical wiring on the second floor to meet code: $25,300
Construction of a new covered fire escape stairs to meet code: $44,000
Painting of the auditorium and miscellaneous finishes: $13,250
Please help raise $225,000 to reopen our vibrant community cultural center!
