The Department's
cruiser is a 2006 Ford Expedition. Interested in seeing some pictures
of it and list of what it has? Go to the Fleet Page. We also
patrol on a Polaris Indy 500 snowmobile, Honda 4-Trax ATV and 2008 CanAm
Outlander AT Max ATV. We use the
Crimestar Record Management
System for our database needs.
We serve the Town as
traditional police officers, but we also have specialized training to
further assist the Town in times of need. Chief Marshall is a
nationally registered EMT-I and
NH certified Level II Firefighter. Ofc.
Moser is a NH certified Level 1B
Firefighter and serves as the Town's Fire Chief. Four officers and ACO Turner are certified Ice Rescue Technicians. ACO Turner is also an nationally
registered EMT-I.
After the 2007 Town
Meeting in March, the Department was authorized for a budget of
$108,781. This includes payroll, supplies, equipment, maintenance and
benefits for the year. Click on the Budget link to see a breakdown of
Department budget lines.
To locate us, go to the
Town Common and we are the middle building, the old schoolhouse.
You can get directions to all town roads on the Town of Washington
website.
The Department is very
proud of it's "Student of the Month" award program with the
Washington Elementary School
. To learn more about the program, and see pictures and newspaper
articles about the student recipients, please go to our
Student of the
Month page.
The Department likes to
stay in regular contact with it's citizens and other Washington service
agencies. An e-newsletter is published which anyone with e-mail can
receive free of charge by merely sending a
request for it by e-mail .
We also send out press releases to the
Hillsboro Messenger ,
NH Contender, and
Speak Out. Click on
our Press Release link to view these and other articles relating to the
Department or it's members. Our weekly activity report can be viewed on
the Activity Log page.
We have many amateur
photographers in town who like to take pictures of our officers and the
things they do, (both spectacular and slightly less so). Check our
Pictures link for our local version of "Cops" in Washington.
The page is still
constantly under revision, so please visit regularly to see additions,
