Where
else but Washington do you find a Selectman leaving office hours riding
his motorcycle in his snowmobile suit, in the mud and snow? |

Timing and being prepared is
everything. Local resident Charley Johnson was looking up at the
right time and had his
camera at the ready as this majestic bald eagle came soaring over Island
Pond and perched in a tree in July, 2009 |

In the spring of 2009 an observant
local resident noticed part of weathervane on top of the Police Station
had rotted off and was hanging precariously. With the help of the
Lempster Fire Department and their ladder truck the weathervane was
removed. Local craftsmen Bill Cole repaired the stanchion and
Peter France metal crafted a new weathervane. Here Bill is shown
with a Lempster firefighter re-installing it after the repairs were
completed. Picture by Selectman Ken Eastman |

Hey Boo-Boo? Got any birdseed?
Hey wait! There's a pick-nick basket birdfeeder on that deck,
I'll just climb up there and grab it. You watch for Ranger Smith
and I'll ignore that lady standing there with the camera.

We can't expect the kids to wear
their helmets if the adults and government leaders are not wearing
theirs. Selectmen Richard Cook gets his helmet from Chief
Marshall. Now Selectmen Cook is setting the example for all the
kids in East. Washington. (Bob Hofestetter photo) |

Fish? You want fish? Yeah, we've got fish! Nick Zaharias of Washington
shows off his 5 1/4 lb largemouth bass, caught in the Ashuelot River in
2008 using his trusty hula grub lure. |
Washington's
Ryan Kerry displaying his 6.51 pound, 21 inch long largemouth bass he
caught in Halfmoon Pond on May 24, 2010. This catch was registered
through NH Fish & Game as a trophy fish! |
