In the spring of 2009 an observant
local resident noticed part of weathervane on top of the Police Station
had rotted off and was hanging precariously. With the help of the
Lempster Fire Department and their ladder truck the weathervane was
removed. Local craftsmen Bill Cole repaired the stanchion and
Peter France metal crafted a new weathervane. Here Bill is shown
with a Lempster firefighter re-installing it after the repairs were
completed. Picture by Selectman Ken Eastman |
