Do I need a library card to check out books?
Yes, you need a library card. It is free as are many of our services (including faxes). Copies are 0.25 per page both for computer and copy machine.
How do I get a library card?
To get a library card you come to the library or phone us to fill out a registration form. Children under 16 must have their parents sign their registration card.
Can I request a specific book or title if the library doesn’t have it?
If I am not able to go to the library, can books be delivered to my house?
We do deliver books to your home under our Outreach Program.
How can I make a donation to the library?
You may donate books, movies, or monetary donations to the library by making check to Shedd Free Library. If you would like your donation to go for a specific request, state your request on the check or note. See mailing info in Contact Information.
