Donations and Fundraising Special Events - Washington Fire & Rescue Squad, Inc.
The Washington Fire and Rescue Squad, Inc. is an IRS recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization which does private fundraising and accepts donations for purchasing equipment and services to support the Fire & Rescue Department, which are beyond the means of the municipal budget. It also supports a scholarship fund for Department and Auxiliary Member's children seeking to advance their education beyond high school.
Donations can be sent to our organization to benefit the Fire and Rescue members. Please write your check to Washington Fire and Rescue Squad and send it to 75 Lempster Mountain Road, Washington, NH 03280. Feel free to designate where your donation should go by writing Fire, Rescue or Scholarship in the memo line on your check. Thank you for your generosity!
During the year Fundraising events are held to help support the non-profit:
The Annual Chicken Barbeque is held the first Sunday in August at the Center Station. This is an Auxiliary fundraising event where the Fire and Rescue members help out and support the Auxiliary members.
The Firemen's Pancake Breakfast is held twice annually, on Memorial Day weekend Sunday and Labor Day weekend Sunday at the Center Station. Enjoy a full breakfast with the freshest of maple syrup right from Washington producers.
The Annual Ice Fishing Derby – For many years the Washington Fire and Rescue Squad, Inc has held an ice fishing derby over a weekend in mid February, on all legal lakes and ponds in Washington. This is a wonderful family fun event that draws people from surrounding towns and states. There are cash prizes and great food and raffles.
