1.0       Further Questions for Drasba:

We met to discuss further questions for Dave Drasba following the meeting we had with him on the Schoolhouse. Crandall has scheduled a meeting with himself, Kluk and Drasba for August 23rd at Drasba’s studio.

Crandall said that Drasba wanted to warn us that the sketch plans we are looking at were preliminary and the measurements on them may be off by a few feet here and there.

We discussed what we wanted to accomplish in the meeting with Drasba. Dulac said that the $3M plan was a good starting point but we need to cut back and reduce cost to hit that mark. He said that connecting to the existing F/R station may be important to him. Crandall said should we go cheaper or go with what is right? Dulac commented we need to get to a point where we can live with our decision. Kluk asked if this is a futile exercise. Crandall said it isn’t if we can get some support from the Meeting House people. Kluk thinks we can make some headway. Dulac said we need to look at alternatives.

Kluk wants to ask Drasba about the cost differential of the 3 foundation options. Dulac wants the cost differential on the annex as designed and the smaller option. Kluk wants to ask about the existing stairway and the code and whether it can be rebuilt to meet code. We want to know about the grade level and excavation and keeping the septic. We have a question about sprinklers, Kluk wanted to know if it is a separate system and what needs to be sprinkled. We want to ask him if he can get some definitive answers for us from Milestone, what the cost would be for new plans for a smaller annex, condition of the boiler/heat system and whether it can be used for a while. Kluk and Crandall think they now have a good list of  questions and discussion points for the meeting with Drasba tomorrow.

We discussed a few ideas Crandall has for the F/R building.
